Vladimir Vdovichenkov
Vladimir Vladimirovich Vdovichenkov (russian: Влади́мир Влади́мирович Вдовиче́нков; born 13 August 1971) is a Russian theater and screen actor known for his roles in ''Brigada'' (2002) ''Leviathan'' (2014), '' Bummer'' (2003) and Salyut 7 (2017). Early life and education Vdovichenkov was born in Gusev, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russian RSFSR, Soviet Union. He pursued boxing while at school. After graduating from 42nd Kronstadt Nautical School in 1989, he served four years in the Northern Fleet and the Baltic Fleet. He worked as a waiter while taking preparatory acting courses. As a student he appeared in music videos and commercials. Career In 2000, While Vdovichenkov was a fourth-year student at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, director Alexey Sidorov cast him in a main role in the crime television series ''Brigada''. ''Salyut 7'' (russian: Салют-7) is a 2017 Russian disaster film directed by Klim Shipenko and written by Aleksey Samolyotov, the film stars Vladimir Vdovichenkov and Pavel Derevyanko. The story is based on the Soyuz T-13 mission in 1985, part of the Soviet Salyut programme; it was the first time in history that a 'dead' space station was docked with, and brought back into service. The film was released in Russia on October 12, 2017 by Nashe Kino in RealD 3D. In 2018, the picture was awarded the “Golden Eagle (Film Award, 2018)” prize for Best Film and Best Film Editing; “ Nika (Film Award, 2018)” awards for “Best Cinematography” and “Nika” nominations for “Best Feature Film”. ''Taras Bulba'' (russian: Тарас Бульба) is a historical drama film, based on the novel ''Taras Bulba'' by Nikolai Gogol. The movie was filmed on different locations in Ukraine such as Zaporizhia, Khotyn and Kamianets-Podilsky as well as in Poland. The official release was rescheduled several times; at first for the spring of 2008 but was finally released on April 2, 2009, to coincide with Gogol's bicentennial. The author's edition of 1842, expanded and rewritten, and considered more pro-Russian, was used for the film (this also being the text that is familiar to most readers). The film was split into two parts ''Paragraph 78, Punkt 1'' released on February 22, 2007, and ''Paragraph 78, Punkt 2'' released on March 29, 2007.
