Vladimir Vardzelashvili
Vladimir "Lado" Vardzelashvili ( ka, ვლადიმერ ადოვარძელაშვილი) (born 3 August 1979) is a Georgian politician who served as the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia from 2010 to 2012. Early years Vardzelashvili was born in Khoni, Georgia on 3 August 1979. He studied at a Medical College from 1994 until 1997, and then in 2002, he graduated from the University of Economics and received his Master's degree in 2005. From 2002 until 2006, Vardzelashvili went to the University of Agriculture of Georgia and in 2006-2007, he studied at the School of Political Studies. He then worked for a media company and Tbilisi Municipality Sport Civil Service. From 2003 through 2004, he headed the Georgian Youth State Department. Khashuri
Khashuri ( ka, ხაშური ) is a town in the central part of Georgia and is the 9th largest settlement in Georgia. It is the administrative centre of Khashuri Municipality. It is located on the Shida Kartli plain, on the Suramula riverside, above sea level. Khashuri is first mentioned in a 1693 document. Modern Khashuri was founded in 1872 as a modest railway stop called "Mikhaylovo" after Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich of Russia, Viceroy of the Caucasus. In 1917, it was renamed Khashuri. The town was granted city status in 1921. It was known as Stalinisi, after Joseph Stalin, from 1928 to 1934. In the 19th century after the leading Tbilisi-Poti main line, Khashuri gradually became a major transportation node. The railways and highways were heading towards Borjomi and Akhaltsikhe. Gori State Teaching University is a center for education and science in Shida Kartli in the Gori Municipality of Georgia, it was established as a result of merging of two high education institutions: Gori State University and Tskhinvali State University. History The Transcaucasian Teachers Seminary opened in Gori on 12 September 1876, which gave many well-known teachers to Georgia, including Vazha-Pshavela, Mikheil Tsinamdzgvrishvili, Ia Kargareteli, etc. In August 1935, the university was opened as a two-year teaching institute, which in 1939 was reestablished as the Gori State Pedagogical Institute with four-year studies. Kaspi ( ka, კასპი) is a town in central Georgia on the Mtkvari River. It is a center of Kaspi district, one of the four districts in Shida Kartli region. Founded in the early Middle Ages, the town turned into possession of the Amilakhvari noble family in the 15th century. Gori, Georgia
Gori ( ka, გორი ) is a city in eastern Georgia, which serves as the regional capital of Shida Kartli and is located at the confluence of two rivers, the Mtkvari and the Liakhvi. Gori is the fifth most populous city in Georgia. Its name comes from the Georgian word ''gora'' (გორა), meaning "heap", "hill", or "mountain".
