Vladimir Medinsky
Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky (russian: link=no, Владимир Ростиславович Мединский, uk, Володимир Ростиславович Мединський; born July 18, 1970) is a Russian political figure, academic and publicist who served as the Ministry of Culture (Russia), Minister of Culture from May 2012 to January 2020. He is a member of the General Council of the United Russia party. Biography Medinsky was born in the city of Smila, Ukraine, Smila in the Cherkasy Oblast of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Ukrainian SSR.
