Vlade Divac ( sr-Cyrl, Владе Дивац, ; born February 3, 1968) is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player who was most recently the vice president of basketball operations and general manager of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Divac spent most of his playing career in the NBA. At , he played center and was known for his passing skills. He was among the first group of European basketball players to transfer to the NBA in the late 1980s and was named one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors. Early life Born in 1948 to Bosnian Serb parents Danilo Đurović from Sokolac and Mileva Cerović from Rogatica—both active World War II Partisan resistance participants who had met during their time fighting the guerrilla war, then following the war moved to the Yugoslav capital Belgrade, got married and started a family—young Vlade grew up in the Belgrade neighborhood of Cerak. Vlade Janakievski (born April 10, 1957) is a former American football placekicker for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Janakievski was born in North Macedonia while it was part of Yugoslavia and moved to the United States with his parents in 1967 at the age of 10. He graduated from Whitehall Yearling high School in 1976, where he was the placekicker on the football team. He was a walk-on player from the soccer team who handled the placekicking duties for the Buckeyes in the 1977-1980 seasons. Vladeta Jerotić ( sr-cyr, Владета Јеротић; 2 August 1924 – 4 September 2018) was a Serbian psychiatrist, psychotherapist, philosopher and writer. Biography Vladeta Jerotić grew up as the only child of an official of the Royal Court of Audit (Glavna kontrola) in Zadarska Street of the old Belgrade quarter Kosančićev venac. He attended the primary school and the gymnasium in his native place and graduated with maturity diploma in 1942. The young man could not continue his education at the university, because the academic institution was closed in the years of the German occupation during World War II in Yugoslavia. In his memoirs, he described his parental home as non-nationalist, non-chauvinist and non-communist, and that no one from his whole family joined Tito’s Partisans or Mihailović's Chetniks. Vlade Lazarevski ( mk, Владе Лазаревски; born 9 June 1983) is a former professional football defender. He represented the Macedonia national football team internationally. Club career On 19 December 2007 Lazarevski was thought to be in England on a trial-basis training with Premier League team Derby County; it was unsuccessful and he returned to Poland. In late February, Lazarevski emerged in Ukraine, training with a team of Ukrainian Premier League FC Metalist Kharkiv. Soon after transfer occurred and Vlade was announced to the public as club's newest signing. He played for Karpaty Lviv in 2009 before joining Rijeka on 27 January 2010.
