Việt Trì (越池) is the capital city of Phú Thọ Province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. In 2010, the city had a population of 260,288. The city covers an area of . Việt Trì is also the economic centre of the province and contains many industrial firms and service industries.Hy V. Provincial city ( vi, Thành phố thuộc tỉnh), commonly known as City, a type of second tier subdivision of Vietnam is divided into 713 units along with urban district, district, municipal city, and town have equal status. Also by virtue of Decree No. 42/2009/ND-CP, city are officially classified into Class-1, Class-2 or Class-3. The cities can only subordinate to Province as the Second Tier unit. Black River (Asia)
The Black River, (, from the Tai language ''Da'' meaning "dark-brown") also known upstream as the Lixian River in China, is a river located in China and northwestern Vietnam. Course Its source is in Yunnan province of China. From China, the river's course passes through the Vietnamese provinces of Lai Châu (where it forms part of the border with Điện Biên province), Sơn La and Hòa Bình. The Black River is the most important tributary of the Red River, which it joins in Tam Nông district near Việt Trì in Phú Thọ province.
