Vizag Thermal Power Station
Hinduja National Thermal Power Station, Vizag is a coal-based thermal power plant located in Palavalasa village in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. The power plant is owned by Hinduja National Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Hinduja Group. The power plant is located on the coast of the Bay of Bengal and it uses sea water for cooling purpose. Visakhapatnam district (formerly known as Vizagapatam district) is one of the six districts in the Uttarandhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, headquartered at Visakhapatnam. It is one of the twenty-six districts in Andhra Pradesh state.The district share broders with in the north and east, Vizianagaram district and South Anakapalli district in the south-west and Bay of Bengal in the south.
