Vivian Blake
Vivian Blake (11 May 1956 – 21 March 2010) was a Jamaican drug kingpin who founded and operated the American operations of the Jamaican Shower Posse. Background Blake was born to a poor family in West Kingston, but was granted a scholarship to a private high school, St. George's College. He moved to New York City in 1973, where he started distributing marijuana and cocaine, eventually expanding his network nationwide. According to ''New York Daily News'' columnist Patrice O'Shaughnessy, in a column printed on 30 March 2010, Blake is credited with the dubious distinction of being "one of the creators of crack." During the 1980s, also according to O'Shaughnessy, Blake was responsible for flooding Bronx localities such as Soundview, Crotona Park and the Bronx River with tons of cocaine and crack cocaine. Tivoli Gardens, Kingston
Tivoli Gardens is a neighbourhood in Kingston, Jamaica. Developed as a renewal project between 1963 and 1965, the neighbourhood continued to suffer from poverty. By the late twentieth century it had become a center of drug trafficking activity and social unrest. Repeated confrontations took place between law enforcement and gunmen in the neighborhood in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2008, and 2010. History Tivoli Gardens was developed in West Kingston, Jamaica, between 1963 and 1965 by demolishing and redeveloping the area of the Rastafarian settlement Back-O-Wall. The area was notorious in the 1950s as the worst slum in the Caribbean, where "three communal standpipes and two public bathrooms served a population of well over 5,000 people." Because its people were poor and lacked political power, West Kingston had been the site for many institutional and undesirable projects, some of which were hazardous to the environment. Kidney dialysis (from Greek , , 'dissolution'; from , , 'through', and , , 'loosening or splitting') is the process of removing excess water, solutes, and toxins from the blood in people whose kidneys can no longer perform these functions naturally. Christopher Coke
Christopher Michael Coke, also known as Dudus (born 13 March 1969), is a convicted Jamaican drug lord and the leader of the Shower Posse, a violent drug gang started by his father Lester Coke in Jamaica, which exported "large quantities" of marijuana and cocaine into the United States. Due to their father's drug profits, Christopher and his siblings grew up amidst wealth and attended elite private schools. His sister and brother were killed in drug-related violence, in 1987 and 2004, respectively. Coke was gradually brought into his father's organization. After his father's death in 1992, Coke, at the age of 23, became leader of the gang and the ''de facto'' authority of the Tivoli Gardens community in West Kingston. He developed community programs to help the poor and had so much local support that Jamaican police were unable to enter this neighborhood without community consent. Lester Lloyd Coke
Lester Lloyd Coke, commonly known as Jim Brown, was a Jamaican drug lord and the founder of the Shower Posse, a gang based out of the Tivoli Gardens garrison community in West Kingston. Coke was identified by the Netflix documentary ''ReMastered: Who Shot the Sheriff'' as present and a party to the shooting of Bob Marley on 3 December 1976. Shower Posse Lester Lloyd Coke founded the Shower Posse alongside Vivian Blake after the Tivoli Gardens strongman, Claudius Masop died in the late 1970's. Claudius had been Coke's mentor and his death left Coke as the leader of the Phoenix gang which later became the Shower Posse.
