Viveck Goenka is the Chairman, Managing Director and Editorial Director of the Indian Express Group. The newspapers included in the Indian Express Group include the flagship newspaper, The Indian Express, business and economy daily Financial Express; Marathi daily; Loksatta and Jansatta in Hindi. Online, the group is today the third largest news group in the country. Early life and education Viveck Goenka was born in Chennai – then Madras, to Krishna Khaitan and Ajay Mohan Khaitan. Ramnath Goenka, his maternal grandfather, was the founder of the Indian Express Group. In 1991, Ramnath Goenka formally adopted him as his son and heir. He self identifies himself as Tamilian Brahmin Viveck Goenka completed his B Tech, Chemical Engineering from Madras University in 1979. ''Loksatta'' (''Lōksattā'') is a Marathi daily newspaper in Maharashtra, India. It is published by The Indian Express Group and was launched on 14 January 1948. ''Loksatta'' is published out of Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Thane, Palghar, Ahmednagar, Amravati, Aurangabad and Nashik. The Screen Awards is an annual awards ceremony held in India honouring professional excellence in Bollywood. The nomination and award selection is done by a panel of distinguished professionals from the industry.
