The administrative center of the district is the city of Vitebsk, administratively separated from the district. The most populated town of the district itself is Ruba. Syanno or Senno ( be, Сянно; russian: Сенно́; pl, Sienno; lt, Siano) is a city in Vitebsk Region, Belarus. It is southwest of Vitebsk on the southern shore of Senno Lake.
