Vitaliy Tregubov
Vitali Vladimirovich Tregubov (russian: Виталий Владимирович Трегубов; born January 28, 1974) is a retired Kazakh professional ice hockey defenceman. Tregubov played in the Russian Superleague for Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, Severstal Cherepovets, Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and Amur Khabarovsk. Oskemen ( kk, Өскемен, translit=Öskemen ), or Ust-Kamenogorsk (russian: Усть-Каменого́рск), is the administrative center of East Kazakhstan Region of Kazakhstan. Population: Name The city has two official names. In the Kazakh language, its name is Өскемен/''Öskemen'' and in the Russian language it is known as Усть-Каменогорск. Both names appear on the seal of the city. History The city was founded in 1720 at the confluence of the Irtysh and Ulba rivers as a fort and trading post named ''Ust-Kamennaya''. In an organized sports league, a typical season is the portion of one year in which regulated games of the sport are in session: for example, in Major League Baseball the season lasts approximately from the last week of March to the last week of September. The Supreme Hockey League Championship (VHL-B) (russian: Первенство Высшей хоккейной лиги (ВХЛ-П), ''Pervenstvo Vysshaya hokkeinaya liga'') is an ice hockey league in Russia. It stands at the third-tier of the Russian ice hockey pyramid, below the second-level VHL and the top-tier KHL. History Since 1992, it was the First League of the Russian Ice Hockey Championship. The International Hockey League (IHL) lasted from 1992 to 1996. It replaced the Soviet Union's Championship league. The last season was in 1995–96, as the league was replaced by the Russian Superleague the following season. There were two awards in the league. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. Penalties are called and enforced by the referee, or in some cases, the linesman. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short-handed as opposed to full strength. When the opposing team is said to be on a ''power play'', they will have one more player on the ice than the short-handed team. The short-handed team is said to be "on the penalty kill" until the penalty expires and the penalized player returns to play. While standards vary somewhat between leagues, most leagues recognize several common varieties of penalties, as well as common infractions.
