Vishesh Films is an Indian film company founded in 1986 and currently owned by Mukesh Bhatt. Vishesh Films is one of the most successful Indian film production houses. The production company is named after Vishesh Bhatt, the son of Mukesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt
Mahesh Bhatt (born 20 September 1948) is an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter known for his works in Hindi cinema. A stand-out film from his earlier period is ''Saaransh'' (1984), screened at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival. It became India's official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for that year. The 1986 film '' Naam'' was his first piece of commercial cinema. In 1987, he turned producer with the film '' Kabzaa'' under the banner, "Vishesh Films", with his brother Mukesh Bhatt. Sushmita Sen
Sushmita Sen (born 19 November 1975) is an Indian actress, model and the winner of the Miss Universe 1994 pageant. She is the first Indian to win the Miss Universe pageant. ''Woh Lamhe...'' ( en, Those Moments, italic=yes) is a 2006 Indian romantic drama film directed by Mohit Suri, starring Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles. The film is supposedly based on Parveen Babi's life, her battle with schizophrenia and her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt to whom she was a lover as well as a mentor in his struggling days. Mumbai Riots
In the Bombay riots in December 1992 and January 1993, an estimated 900 people died. The riots were mainly due to escalations of hostilities after large scale protests by Muslims in reaction to the 1992 Babri Masjid Demolition by Hindu Karsevaks in Ayodhya; and by Hindu mobs in regards with the Ram Temple issue. The violence was widely reported as having been orchestrated by D-Company and their associates with the help of local Muslims.
