Bálint Virág
Bálint Virág (born 1973) is a Hungarian mathematician working in Canada, known for his work in probability theory, particularly determinantal processes, random matrix theory, and random walks and other probabilistic questions on groups. He received his Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in 2000, under the direction of Yuval Peres, and was a post-doc at MIT. Since 2003 he has been a Canada research chair at the University of Toronto. Virág was awarded a Sloan Fellowship (2004), the Rollo Davidson Prize (2008), the Coxeter–James Prize (2010), and the John L. Synge Award (2014). Virág Csurgó
Virág Csurgó (born 10 November 1972) is a retired Hungarian tennis player. Csurgó won six singles and 17 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit in her career. On 20 November 1995, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 160. On 21 September 1998, she peaked at No. 84 in the WTA doubles rankings. Csurgó reached the second round in both women's singles and doubles at the 1996 Summer Olympics. She wasn't originally entered in the singles event but was added when another competitor had to withdraw at the last minute. With only five minutes to take the court, she arrived at the match wearing her practice shorts and a T-shirt, and went on to defeat Aleksandra Olsza before falling to Kimiko Date in the second round. Leopold Bloom is the fictional protagonist and hero of James Joyce's 1922 novel ''Ulysses''. His peregrinations and encounters in Dublin on 16 June 1904 mirror, on a more mundane and intimate scale, those of Ulysses/Odysseus in Homer's epic poem: The ''Odyssey''. Factual antecedents When Joyce first started planning a story in 1906 called "Ulysses" to be included in Dubliners, the central character was based on a Dublin acquaintance named Alfred Hunter whom Joyce had met traveling to a funeral in July 1904.
