The Virginia Slims of Pennsylvania, also known as the VS of Pennsylvania, is a defunct WTA Tour affiliated women's tennis tournament played from 1983 to 1986. It was held at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey, Pennsylvania in the United States and played on indoor carpet courts. Robin White was the most successful player at the tournament, winning the singles and doubles competitions in 1985. The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. Barbara Jordan (tennis)
Barbara Jordan (born April 2, 1957) is an American former professional tennis player who won the 1979 Australian Open singles title. Jordan also won the mixed doubles title at the 1983 French Open with Eliot Teltscher. Jordan was a three-time All-American at Stanford University, where she obtained her degree in economics in three years. She won the 1978 AIAW College National doubles with sister Kathy Jordan in 1978. Jordan made her first appearance on the (WTA) computer in August 1977 at No. 95. She was a five-time member of WTA board of directors as well as served as chairman of the tournament committee in 1980. Wendy White-Prausa (born 29 September 1960) is a former professional tennis player. Early life and education White was born in 1960 in the state of Georgia. When she was 8, she learned to play tennis at a summer camp. White became a dominant junior player in her state and on the sectional and national levels. From 1977 to 1978, she won or was a finalist in over 30 national junior and amateur championships. In 1978, she was offered a full scholarship to Rollins College. Marcela Skuherská-Davidová (born 14 February 1961) is a former professional tennis player who represented Czechoslovakia.
