The 2012 United States presidential election in Virginia took place on November 6, 2012, as part of the 2012 United States presidential election, presidential election in which all 50 states plus the Washington, D.C., District of Columbia participated. George Mason University (George Mason, Mason, or GMU) is a public research university in Fairfax County, Virginia with an independent City of Fairfax, Virginia postal address in the Washington, D.C.
