Nadaun
Nadaun is a historical town and a nagar panchayat in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Previously a part of the princely state of Kangra, Nadaun is presently an independent small town located on NH 3 and NH 303 in the Sivalik range foothills. It is situated on the banks of the Beas. Nadaun has share their boundaries with districts, Kangra and Una. Bulleh Shah mentions Nadaun as the ''City of Innocent''. 2017 Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2017 was held on 9 November 2017 to elect all 68 members of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The term of the previous Legislative Assembly ended on 7 January 2017. Since 2012, the Indian National Congress Party was in power in the outgoing assembly with 36 seats. The lone opposition party was Bharatiya Janata Party. The Constitution of India states that the term of Legislative Assemblies is five years, at maximum.
