Virandeep Singh
Virandeep Singh (born 23 March 1999) is a Malaysian cricketer who plays for the Malaysia cricket team. His elder brother, Pavandeep Singh, is also a Malaysian cricketer. Career He played for Malaysia in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in May 2017. Prior to the Division 3 tournament, he was captain of the national side for the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup. In April 2018, he was named in Malaysia's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament, also in Malaysia. In August 2018, he was named in Malaysia's squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament. He was the leading run-scorer for Malaysia in the tournament, with 165 runs in five matches. In October 2018, he was named in Malaysia's squad in the Eastern sub-region group for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Asia Qualifier tournament. Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of Finger spin, left-arm finger spin bowling (cricket), bowling in the sport of cricket. Left-arm orthodox spin is bowled by a left-arm bowler finger spin, using the fingers to spin the ball from right to left of the cricket pitch (from the bowler's perspective). 2019 Malaysia Tri-Nation Series
The 2019 Malaysia Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Malaysia. The series took place from 24 to 29 June 2019. The participating teams were Malaysia, Maldives and Thailand. Papua New Guinea were also included in the original schedule for a quadrangular tournament, but later withdrew. The matches were played at the Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia and Thailand both played their first matches with T20I status during this tournament, following the decision of the ICC to grant full Twenty20 International status to all its members from 1 January 2019. Maldives played three 20-over warm up matches against an MCA President XI side from 19 to 21 June 2019. The 2019 Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A was the inaugural edition of Group A of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. In July 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the Malaysia Cricket Association would host the tournament.
