Viraat Badhwar (born 28 August 1995) is an Indian- Australian amateur golfer from Queensland, Australia. Personal life Badhwar was born in New Delhi, India and took up golf at the early age of six, playing at the Delhi Golf Club, New Delhi and Jaypee Greens Golf Resort, Greater Noida. His early schooling was at Delhi Public School, East of Kailash (Junior School) and then Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram (Senior School). He moved with his family at the age of eleven to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and completed his high school education at Kelvin Grove State College in 2012, where he was part of the Queensland Golf School of Excellence. He was a member of the Queensland Junior State Squad in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Queensland Mens State Squad in 2013 and was a member of the Queensland Academy of Sport. Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches
The Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for men between the states and territories of Australia. The event started in 1904 when New South Wales played Victoria. Until World War II the event was played as part of the championship meeting which included the Australian Amateur. It was not until 1947 that all six states, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, contested the event together. Northern Territory first played in 2015 increasing the number of teams to seven. The final format was a round-robin tournament, each team playing the other six teams, after which the top two teams play a final. Each team consisted of eight players. Seven competed in each round-robin match with all eight playing in the final. Only singles matches were played. The Australian Master of the Amateurs is an amateur golf tournament. It is a four-day 72-hole stroke play event held in early January. The men's event started in 1997 with the women's event added in 2018. The event was originally called the Master of the Amateurs and was held in Queensland from its founding in 1997 until 2000. Junior World Golf Championships
The IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships are held in San Diego, California, United States each year, currently in July and conducted by the San Diego Junior Golf Association. They include tournaments for six age groups ranging from under-6 to 15–17 and for both boys and girls. Each age group plays at a separate course, ranging from a par-3 course for the youngest to Torrey Pines for the 15–17s, which is also the venue for the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour and the site of the 2008 U.S. Open. The event was founded in 1968. The inaugural tournament numbered 475 entrants from 20 U.S. States and six other countries.
