Vinnie Zummo
Vinnie Zummo is a New York City session guitarist. He has also worked as a producer, writer, arranger, and sound designer. Zummo worked with Joe Jackson for seven years. He played on six Jackson albums and three world tours. He has also worked with various other popular artists. Zummo was heard on the 1984 song "You Can't Get What You Want (Till You Know What You Want)" on Jackson’s album '' Body and Soul''. The song reached #15 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in the United States. A guitarist (or a guitar player) is a person who plays the guitar. Marti Jones
Marti Jones is an American singer and visual artist known for her albums (solo and with husband Don Dixon) and her paintings. She sings, records, and performs as "Marti Jones" and exhibits visual art as "Marti Jones Dixon." Early life Marti Jones grew up in Uniontown, Ohio, United States near Akron, Ohio. She performed with her sisters in a folk music group and graduated from Kent State University in 1979 with a degree in studio art. While in school, she performed in solo, duo, and trio contexts. ''All About Jazz'' is a website established by Michael Ricci in 1995. A volunteer staff publishes news, album reviews, articles, videos, and listings of concerts and other events having to do with jazz. Ricci maintains a related site, ''Jazz Near You'', about local concerts and events. The Jazz Journalists Association voted ''All About Jazz'' Best Website Covering Jazz for thirteen consecutive years between 2003 and 2015, when the category was retired. Dee Carstensen is a New York City-based alternative music singer-songwriter and harpist. Career Carstensen's singing and songwriting talents were discovered by vibist Mike Mainieri, with whom she is married. Her debut album ''Beloved One'', released in 1993, included guitar work by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. Her second album, ''Regarding the Soul'' (1995), integrated her singing, songwriting and harp-playing. ''The Map'' (1998) was a collaboration with Mainieri. ''Groove Approved'' is the fourth solo studio album by the English singer-songwriter Paul Carrack, then a member of the supergroup Mike + The Mechanics. It was originally released in 1989, on the Chrysalis label. While his previous album featured members of Mike + The Mechanics, for this album Carrack worked mainly with producer T-Bone Wolk. The album's only hit was "I Live by the Groove", which was co-written by Carrack and Eddie Schwartz, and which peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100. Schwartz co-produced the track with Wolk and Carrack; the rest of the album was produced by Wolk and Carrack working as a duo. The song "Battlefield" was later covered by co-writer Nick Lowe under the title "I Live On A Battlefield".
