Vinni
Øyvind Sauvik (born 3 February 1976), better known by his stage name Vinni, is a Norwegian musician and hip hop artist. Biography Born in Arendal, Norway, Sauvik moved with his parents to Tanzania when he was three years old, as they worked with development agency NORAD. He grew up in Africa and learned to speak Swahili there. Upon his return, he formed the hip hop duo Paperboys with Jarle "J.J." Hollerud. When JJ left the formation, he was replaced by DJ Ole Alexander "Pope Dawg" Halstensgård. In the duo Øyvind Sauvik was popularly known as Vincent Vagabond or just Vinni. The band released a number of successful albums. In 2009, Vinni took part in the Norwegian TV 2 channel's reality television program ''Det store korslaget'', a competition of choirs. He took on a choir from Kolbotn where they finished 5th in the competition out of 7 choirs taking part. ''Hver gang vi møtes'' (meaning ''Every Time We Meet'' in Norwegian) is a Norwegian reality television show broadcast on the Norwegian TV 2 television station in 2012. It is structured in similar format to the Swedish series ''Så mycket bättre'' that had been launched in 2010. Season 1 (2012) The first series included 7 artists that would sing each other's song, with each of the first 7 episodes dedicated to songs by one of the participants. In an 8-episode series, in the first seven episodes, the participants would sing songs pertaining to one specific participant. The 8th, final, episode would be a wrap-up with duos by participants. Paperboys is a Norwegian hip hop-duo consisting of rapper Øyvind "Vinni" Sauvik and DJ Ole Alexander "Pope Dawg" Halstensgård. The duo has released four albums and their debut included ''Barcelona'', a collaboration with Madcon which was a hit in Norway. After this the pair released several hit singles in Norway but with little to no notable acclaim outside the country. Most of the duo's work uses other artists and relies heavily on YouTube advertising and word of mouth. Elvira Nikolaisen (born 16 July 1980 in Moi) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter signed for Sony BMG. She released her debut single ''Love I Can't Defend'' in December 2005, it reached the number 3 spot on the Norwegian singles list. She followed up the hit with her first album, '' Quiet Exit'', and a second single, ''Egypt Song'', in March 2006. The album peaked at No. 2 in the Norwegian chart. Career Nikolaisen is from a musical family, her father is a church organist and her brother Emil is the vocalist and guitarist for Serena Maneesh, and her sister Hilma is the bassist for the same band. Her brother Ivar is lead singer of the Norwegian punk band Silver. In 1998, Nikolaisen with her brother Emil fronted the independent band Royal.
