Vinko Möderndorfer
Vinko Möderndorfer (born 22 September 1958) is a Slovene writer, poet, playwright and theatre and film director. Möderndorfer was born in Celje in 1958. Celje (, , ) is the List of cities and towns in Slovenia, third-largest city in Slovenia. Academy For Theatre, Radio, Film And Television, Ljubljana
The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television ( or AGRFT) is an academy of the University of Ljubljana in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is the only college and graduate school in Slovenia with a similar curriculum. It is composed of three colleges: the College for Theatre and Radio, the College for Film and Television, and College for Screen and Play Writing. In addition, a Center for Theatre and Film Studies is included in the academy. The current dean is Aleš Valič. History The academy was founded in 1945. At the beginning, it was only an academy for theatre. Gradually, the sections for radio, film and television studies were added to the curriculum. In 1963 the academy adopted its current name. Slovene Writers' Association
The Slovene Writers' Association () is a non-profit association of Slovene writers based in Ljubljana. The association was founded on 21 April 1872 in Ljubljana at the initiative of Davorin Trstenjak who also became its first president. The statue of the organization was confirmed by the Duchy of Carniola on 10 May 1872. The constituent congress was held on 14 September 1872 while regular meetings took place in the Hotel Evropa until the 1885. It operated under various names over the years and re-adopted its original name ''Društvo slovenskih pisateljev'' in 1968. It provides a platform for writers, poets, playwrights and essayists who participate to promote common cultural and social inetersts. The association has also made considerable efforts in promoting Slovene literature abroad.
