Vinje Municipality (Sør-Trøndelag)
Vinje is a List of former municipalities of Norway, former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1924 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed the areas around the inner Vinjefjorden and the Søo river valley in what is now the southern part of the present-day Heim Municipality. The administrative centre was the village of Vinjeøra. The lake Vasslivatnet was located in the eastern part of Vinje. Prior to its dissolution in 1963, the municipality was the 348th largest by area out of the 689 municipalities in Norway. Vinje Municipality was the 673rd most populous municipality in Norway with a population of about 572. Vinjeøra
Vinjeøra is a village in Heim Municipality, in the Trøndelag county of Norway. The village lies along the European route E39 highway, in particularly at the end of the Vinjefjorden and about south of the municipal center of Kyrksæterøra. The village has a population of almost 300 people and is located about from the city of Trondheim and about from the city of Kristiansund. Diocese Of Nidaros
Nidaros is a diocese in the Lutheran Church of Norway. It covers Trøndelag county in Central Norway and its cathedral city is Trondheim, which houses the well-known Nidaros Cathedral. A ''prestegjeld'' was a geographic and administrative area within the Church of Norway (''Den Norske Kirke'') roughly equivalent to a parish. This traditional designation was in use for centuries to divide the kingdom into ecclesiastical areas that were led by a parish priest. ''Prestegjelds'' began in the 1400s and were officially discontinued in 2012.
