Vincent Walker
Vincent Francis Walker (born March 2, 1980), better known as Vince Walker, is an American multi-instrumentalist, best known as the lead singer of third-wave ska band Suburban Legends. He was formerly the lead trumpet player, and left sometime after the release of '' Rump Shaker'', but returned to the band in September 2005 for the band's appearance on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, which happened to be lead singer Tim Maurer's last performance. He replaced Maurer as the singer in an odd switching of roles, and continues with the band as frontman. Walker was born in Seattle, Washington. Although he did not become lead singer of Suburban Legends until 2005, he previously sang on "Brian and Vince Experience (The Rap)" on ''Origin Edition'' (on which he was the lead guitarist), "Desperate" from ''Suburban Legends'', "Powerful Game" on ''Rump Shaker'', and "Rose Tint My World." Rump Shaker (album)
''Rump Shaker'' is the second album of the third-wave ska band Suburban Legends. It was released June 28, 2003, in Los Angeles, California by Lobster Girl Records. The album initially sold 15,000 copies and was subsequently released on Brand New Hero Records in the UK. It was produced by John Avila, former bassist of Oingo Boingo, one of the band's major influences. In 2005, when the band was featured as ManiaTV!'s Artist of the Day, Tim Maurer jokes of the experience, "We went to vila'shouse. We strapped him down to a bed. We played our music in the CD player 20,000 times. We fed him only a diet of oatmeal and gruel. He agreed then to produce our album. And we paid him and we thanked him and it was fun. And it was good. And it was fun." Big D And The Kids Table
Big D and the Kids Table is a ska punk band formed in October 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts when its members converged in college. Their first release was on their own Fork in Hand Records label, but have since teamed with Springman Records and SideOneDummy. The band has been noted for its strict DIY work ethic, such as engineering, producing, and releasing their own albums and videos and self-promotion of their own shows. The band released Good Luck in 1999 on Asian Man Records and quickly gained a large underground audience. The album featured a 10 piece band, including six horn players. The album is characterized and widely liked due to its catchy horn melodies, along with its fun and energetic nature. Scott Klopfenstein
Scott Allen "Scotty" Klopfenstein is an American musician and a former member of the band Reel Big Fish. He sings and plays trumpet, guitar, and Keyboard instrument, keyboard. Before joining Reel Big Fish, Klopfenstein played trumpet in Nuckle Brothers and trumpet and vocals in The Scholars (band), The Scholars. He briefly headed a side project called Pal with fellow former Scholars member Jesse Wilder, but then started The Littlest Man Band, which featured Dan Regan from Reel Big Fish, Vincent Walker from Suburban Legends, and three members of The Scholars. Reel Big Fish and The Littlest Man Band have performed at the same venues. In 2005, Klopfenstein moved to New York City to live with his fiancée. Chris Maurer
Chris Maurer (Born August 3, 1984) was the bassist for the third-wave ska band Suburban Legends. After years of watching his older brother sing for the band, he joined the band August 3 of 2000, replacing Justin Meacham who left the band. He left the band in late 2004 to marry Rachel Lents and continue with his education and was replaced by Suburban Legends bassist Mike Hachey. However, Chris returned for a final performance with the band on November 29, 2005 at Huntington Beach High School for a benefit show for the Ryan Dallas Cook Memorial Fund. Suburban Legends are an American ska punk band that formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1998 and later based themselves in nearby Santa Ana, California, Santa Ana. Chris Batstone
Chris Batstone was the 2000–2002 lead singer of the third-wave ska band, Suburban Legends. He joined the band in 2000 as the replacement for Tim Maurer, who had left the band after the recording of Origin Edition. Batstone's first and only official recording with the band was on their first EP, Suburban Legends, released in 2001. Batstone has credits for co-writing the song 'I Want More', and 'Desperate' found on the EP. Batstone left the band in early 2002. Reportedly, he became increasingly dissatisfied with the direction the band was taking, and he decided to pursue other musical directions, and an acting career. He was replaced by Tim Maurer, who re-joined the band in 2002 as the lead singer. The band then re-recorded the vocal tracks on their self-titled EP with Tim to create Suburban Legends (Tim Remix). Brian Klemm
Brian Wayne Klemm (born May 21, 1982) is the guitarist for the Orange County-based third-wave ska band Suburban Legends. He joined Suburban Legends in 1999, shortly before the release of Origin Edition, although he did not play guitar on the album. Klemm also briefly joined Big D and the Kids Table in 2009 as their touring guitarist until 2010. Klemm also occasionally performs with Reel Big Fish. He also lends his voice to both versions of the song "Desperate", "This Cherry", "Powerful Game", "So Fine", and "Your Girlfriend's Pretty." Suburban Legends (Tim Remix)
After the departure of lead singer Chris Batstone, Suburban Legends re-released their first EP, ''Suburban Legends (album), Suburban Legends'', by removing the vocal track featuring Chris, and replacing it with a vocal track of new lead singer, Tim Maurer. ''Suburban Legends (Tim Remix)'' is essentially the same album from the Orange County, California, Orange County based ska punk band. It was first released in 2002 in Los Angeles, California by We the People Records. Its first pressing came with a green cover which was later changed to an orange cover. The green cover version is now very hard to find. The music, however, is the same on both editions. The main difference between the two versions is that the green cover edition was released by We the People Records, while the orange cover edition was self-released by the band at the end of the year.
