Vince Sheehan (rugby League, South Sydney)
Vince Sheehan (?–1926) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1910s and 1920s. He played for South Sydney in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career Sheehan made his first grade debut for South Sydney in round 9 of the 1917 season against Annandale at Wentworth Park. In 1918, Sheehan played eight games and scored five tries as South Sydney won the premiership that year. In 1919, he was selected to play for New South Wales and made one appearance where he scored two tries against Queensland. He was selected for New South Wales to tour New Zealand but broke his collar bone on the eve of the trip. Sheehan retired following the conclusion of the 1922 season. Vince Sheehan (1916–1973) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s. He played for Western Suburbs in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career Sheehan made his first grade debut for Western Suburbs in 1934. That season the club went from wooden spooners in 1933 to winning the minor premiership and premiership in 1934. Sheehan played on the wing in the 1934 grand final victory over Eastern Suburbs at the Sydney Sports Ground The Sydney Sports Ground No. 1 was a Stadium and Dirt track racing venue in Sydney, New South Wales. The ground was located where the car park of the Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) currently sits. The ground had two main grandstands and was surro ... with Sheehan scoring a try. ''The Kettering Incident'' is an Australian television drama program, first broadcast on Foxtel's SoHo (Australian TV channel), Showcase channel on 4 July 2016. The series was created by Victoria Madden and Vincent Sheehan (filmmaker), Vincent Sheehan, and was written by Victoria Madden, Louise Fox, Cate Shortland and Andrew Knight (writer), Andrew Knight. A sneak preview of the series launched at the 2015 ''Dark MoFo'' festival, with two episodes shown to select audiences at nine locations around Tasmania. The series was filmed in and around the town of Kettering, Tasmania, Kettering and Bruny Island in Tasmania, as announced in February 2014 by the then Premier of Tasmania, Lara Giddings, during a press conference in Kettering.
