Vincent DePaul Lynch
Vincent de Paul Lynch (May 27, 1927 – March 15, 1984) was a pharmacology and toxicology professor at St. John's University from 1958 to 1984. He was appointed Chair of the Department of Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology and Allied Sciences (1961–1973), Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences (1973–1982), and Chair of the Institutional Review Board (1974–1984). He also served as the director and founder of the school's Bachelor of Science Program in Toxicology (1967–1982), the first program of its kind in the U.S. Biography Lynch was born in Niagara Falls, New York, to Arthur and Phoebe Lynch. Following his service in World War II, from 1944 to 1945, as a naval pharmacist's mate on the USS Providence (CL-82), he attended Niagara University in Lewiston, New York, and earned Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and chemistry in 1950. Niagara Falls is a City (New York), city in Niagara County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the city had a total population of 48,671. It is adjacent to the Niagara River, across from the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and named after the famed Niagara Falls which they share. United States Public Health Service
The United States Public Health Service (USPHS or PHS) is a collection of agencies of the Department of Health and Human Services concerned with public health, containing nine out of the department's twelve operating divisions. The Assistant Secretary for Health oversees the PHS. The Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (PHSCC) is the federal uniformed service of the PHS, and is one of the eight uniformed services of the United States. PHS had its origins in the system of marine hospitals that originated in 1798. William Calley
William Laws Calley Jr. (born June 8, 1943) is a former American army officer and war criminal convicted by court-martial for the premeditated killings of 200 to 400 unarmed South Vietnamese civilians in the Mỹ Lai massacre on March 16, 1968, during the Vietnam War. Calley was released to house arrest under orders by President Richard Nixon three days after his conviction. A new trial was ordered by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit but that ruling was overturned by the Supreme Court. Calley served three years of house arrest for the murders.
