Vincent Brown (linebacker)
Vincent Bernard "The Undertaker" Brown (born January 9, 1965) is an American football coach and former player. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) linebacker with the New England Patriots from 1988 to 1995. Brown's NFL career ended abruptly at age 30. After eight years of playing linebacker for the Patriots, he was suddenly and unexpectedly told that his career was over. His career was one of the best in Patriots history as an inside linebacker. A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen.
