Vimal Pariyar
Vimal Pariyar (born 7 March 1986) is a former Indian professional footballer who played as a forward. During his career, he was trained at the Tata Football Academy before becoming professional at East Bengal. He also played for Mohammedan and Churchill Brothers. Pariyar also represented India internationally, earning 2 caps in 2005. Club career Born in Darjeeling, West Bengal, Pariyar began his career at the Tata Football Academy in Jharkhand. While playing for Tata, Pariyar also represented both Jharkhand and West Bengal in the Santosh Trophy. During the 2006–07 tournament, Pariyar scored 4 goals in West Bengal's opening match against Rajasthan on 14 September and then 3 goals against Madhya Pradesh on 18 September. National Football League (India)
The National Football League (NFL) was a league competition featuring football clubs from India. Founded in 1996 through the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the NFL was the first football league in India to be organized on a national scale. Football At The South Asian Games
Football has been a sport at the South Asian Games since it commenced in 1984. Since the 2004 South Asian Games, the age limit for men's teams is under 23, plus up to three overaged players for each squad, which is the same as the age limit in football competitions at the Summer Olympics and Asian Games. Nepal and Pakistan are currently the most successful countries in the Men's event with 4 Gold Medals each while India is the most successful in Women's event with 3 Gold Medals. 2006 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2006 AFC Challenge Cup was held between 1 and 16 April 2006 in Bangladesh. Sixteen teams were split into four groups, the top two in each group qualifying for the quarterfinals, and from then on a straight knockout contest. There was no qualification stage. The cup winner was Tajikistan. The fair play award was won by Sri Lanka and Tajikistani Ibrahim Rabimov won the most valuable player award. Selection of teams The AFC classed seventeen nations as ''emerging associations'', which need time to develop their football. They were selected in August 2005 to take part. The Fiji national football team is Fiji's national men's team and is controlled by the governing body of football in Fiji, the Fiji Football Association. 2011–12 I-League
The 2011–12 I-League was the fifth season of the I-League. The season began in October 2011 and ended in May 2012. Salgaocar are the defending champions, having won their maiden title in the previous season. The current edition has a total of 14 teams contesting for the honors. These include the top twelve teams from the 2010–11 season along with the two promoted sides, Shillong Lajong and Sporting Clube de Goa, who had been the winner and the runner-up in the 2011 I-League 2nd Division respectively.
