The Vila Real Football Association (''Associação de Futebol de Vila Real'', abrv. District Of Vila Real
The District of Vila Real ( pt, Distrito de Vila Real ) is a district of northern Portugal. With an area of , the district is located east of the port city of Porto and north of the Douro, Douro River. Vila Real has always belonged to the historical province of Trás-os-Montes Province, Trás-os-Montes. Approximate population in the 2001 census was 230,000. The population has shown negative rates in recent years due to emigration and aging. Many of the villages have lost population and have become deserted while the district capital has gained in population. Sport Clube Vila Real ''(abbreviated as SC Vila Real )'' is a Portuguese football club based in Vila Real in the district of Vila Real. Background SC Vila Real currently plays in the Terceira Divisão Série B which is the fourth tier of Portuguese football. The club was founded in 1920 and they play their home matches at the Complexo Desportivo Monte Da Forca in Vila Real. The stadium is able to accommodate 5,500 spectators.
