Vila Mariana (district Of São Paulo)
Vila Mariana () is a borough of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Located to the south of Bela Vista and Liberdade, east of Jardim Paulista and west of Ipiranga, it's a dynamic area of the city. Similar to its neighbor district, Moema, it's a wealthy area and it comprises some of the most famous symbols of São Paulo, like the Ibirapuera Park, the Obelisk and Mausoleum of the heroes from the Constitutional Revolution in 1932 and the "Monumento às Bandeiras", and the Fundadores de São Paulo monument. Moema is a district in the south region of the city of São Paulo. Toponym The toponym "Moema" is a reference to the character, possibly fictional, of the poem Caramuru (book), Caramuru, by Santa Rita Durão, classic of the Arcade literature in Brazil, Brazilian arcade literature written in 1781. Athina Hélène Onassis ( el, Αθηνά Ωνάση; born Athina Hélène Roussel ( el, Αθηνά Ρουσσέλ), 29 January 1985) is a French-Greek heiress and equestrian, the only surviving descendant of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, and the only child of Aristotle's daughter Christina Onassis. Ipiranga (, from the Tupi (''y'', river; ''pirang'', red) for "red river") is a historical district located in the subprefecture of the same name of São Paulo, Brazil.
