Santiago "Santi" Vila i Vicente (born 15 March 1973) is a Catalan historian and politician from Granollers, Spain. He was a member of the Catalan European Democratic Party, and was a councillor at Figueres from 1999 before becoming mayor from 2007 to 2012. Pere Alberch Vila (in Catalan language: Pere Alberc i Vila) (1517–1582): was a Catalan Renaissance composer and organist. He was born Pere Alberc i Ferrament at Vic in 1517. The nickname ''i Vila'' comes from a more notable branch of his family. Alberch trained in the Cathedral of Vic and later, between 1534 and 1536, in Valencia with his uncle, Pere Vila. There he met other musicians working in the court of the Duke of Calabria, such as Mateo Flecha and Bartomeu Càrceres. Matías Damián Vila (born 7 July 1979 in Buenos Aires) is a field hockey midfielder from Argentina, who made his debut for the national squad in 1997, and competed for his native country in the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Lucas Martín Vila (born 23 August 1986) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays for Spanish club Benalmádena as a forward. He made his debut for the national squad in 2005, after having played the Junior World Cup in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He played a total of 262 times for the Argentina national team until 2021. His older brothers Matías and Rodrigo were also field hockey players for Argentina. International career At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Vila competed for Argentina in the men's tournament.
