Viktória Čerňanská
Viktória Čerňanská (born 29 March 2002) is a Slovak bobsledder who competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Early life Čerňanská was involved in sports as a child when her coach pushed her to try bobsleigh. She immediately became interested in this sport and began to devote herself to it. Čerňanská completed demanding trainings year-round outside her homeland. Career Čerňanská represented Slovakia at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in the monobob event and won a silver medal. Čerňanská competed at the 2022 IBSF Junior World Championships where she won a gold medal in the U23 monobob, and a silver medal in the two-woman event. Čerňanská represented Slovakia at the 2022 Winter Olympics in the monobob event. Melissa Lotholz (born December 2, 1992) is a Canadian bobsledder. In her rookie season, Lotholz pushed Kaillie Humphries to 3 World Cup medals. The following season the duo won 9 medals in as many races, including silver at World Championships, to secure the overall title. Altogether Humphries and Lotholz went on to win 2 World Championship medals, 17 World Cup medals and four crystal globes in 4 years. On January 9, 2016, Lotholz was part of the first all-female team to compete against men in a four-person World Cup bobsled race; her teammates were Kaillie Humphries (pilot), Cynthia Appiah, and Genevieve Thibault. The women's monobob competition in Bobsleigh at the 2022 Winter Olympics, bobsleigh at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 13 February (heats 1 and 2) and 14 February (heats 3 and 4), at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track in Yanqing District of Beijing. This was the inaugural monobob competition at the Olympics. Kaillie Humphries of the United States won the event. She was the 2018 two-woman bobsleigh champion, but at that time she represented Canada. Elana Meyers Taylor, also of the United States, won the silver medal, and Christine de Bruin of Canada bronze, her first Olympic medal.
