Viktoras Andriušis
Viktoras Andriušis (January 10, 1908 – March 27, 1967) was a Lithuanian artist and designer. He graduated from Kaunas Art School in 1931. From 1931 to 1944 he worked at the State Theater in Kaunas (1941–1944 at the Kaunas Grand Theater) as a set designer and artist. He created the scenery for many drama, opera, and ballet performances. Viktoras Biržiška (February 23, 1886, Viekšniai - 27 January 1964 Chicago) was a Lithuanian mathematician, engineer, journalist, and encyclopedist of noble extraction. His brothers were Mykolas Biržiška and Vaclovas Biržiška. Biography He was the youngest of the three Biržiška brothers, sons of Antanas and Elžbieta Biržiska, all who contributed significantly to the Lithuanian National Revival. He studied mathematics and engineering at the University of St. Petersburg in Russia between 1904 and 1908, and later at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology from 1909 to 1914. After completing his studies, he was appointed a director at a munitions factory in St. Petersburg from 1914 to 1920. He was imprisoned by the Bolsheviks and only returned to Lithuania following a prisoner exchange. LT United were a Lithuanian music group created in 2006 for the sole purpose of representing Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. The group entered the Lithuanian pre-selection event with the song "We Are the Winners", winning with almost twice as many votes as the runners-up, and finished 6th in the Eurovision Song Contest final with 162 points. History LT United were created in early 2006 after the well-known Lithuanian rock musician Andrius Mamontovas decided it would be a good idea to enter the Eurovision Song Contest. The group consisted of six individuals who were already well known in Lithuania, with all six having some form of musical or television background. The Hippocrates Health Institute (HHI) is a nonprofit organization in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA, originally co-founded in 1956 in Stoneham, Massachusetts, by Lithuanian-born Viktoras Kulvinskas and Ann Wigmore. The Hippocrates Health Institute is regarded as controversial for supposedly treating cancer with unproven natural methods that are implausible despite claims otherwise. In February and March 2015, cease-and-desist orders were issued against co-directors Brian and Anna-Maria Clement, both of whom represented themselves as doctors, requiring them to immediately cease the unlicensed practice of medicine. The Florida Department of Health formally informed Hippocrates Health Institute that it has subsequently withdrawn and dismissed the cease-and-desist orders due to lack of sufficient evidence. Viktoras Muntianas (born 11 November 1951 in Marijampolė, Lithuanian SSR) is a Lithuanian politician of Moldovan descent and former Speaker of the Seimas. In 1968 he graduated from the high school in Marijampolė. In 1973 he enrolled in the Vilnius Civil Engineering Institute, completing his studies in 1978. Between 1986 and 1990 he was first deputy of Kėdainiai municipality chairman. Later he started a career in business, becoming manager of Ūkio bankas filial in Kėdainiai in 1994. After two years he became vice-president of Vikonda concern. Soon afterwards Muntianas renewed his political career. On 1997 he became mayor of Kėdainiai; in 2004 he was elected to the Seimas. Muntianas was Speaker of the Seimas from 2006 until resigning on 1 April 2008.
