Viktor Teslia
Viktor Ivanovich Teslia (russian: Виктор Иванович Тесля) is a former pair skater for the Soviet Union. With Nelli Chervotkina, he is the 1979 Prague Skate champion, 1982 Skate America bronze medalist, and 1983 Winter Universiade champion. Their coaches were Ludmila Velikova and Aleksandr Vlasov. Teslia moved to England in the 1990s after being hired as a skating coach in Chelmsford. In the 1998–99 season, he coached British men's champion Clive Shorten and the pairs' silver and bronze medalists, Katie Wenger / Daniel Thomas and Sarah Kemp / Michael Aldred Michael Aldred (6 July 1945 – 15 April 1995) was a British record producer, music journalist, and television presenter. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and " Olympiad". British Ice Skating (formerly the National Ice Skating Association) is the national governing body of ice skating within the United Kingdom. Formed in 1879, it is responsible for overseeing all disciplines of ice skating: figure skating (singles, pairs and ice dance); synchronised skating; and speed skating (including short track).
