Viktor Hurniak
Viktor Petrovych Hurniak ( uk, Віктор Петрович Гурняк; 8 June 1987 – 19 October 2014), also known by the nicknames Gart, Gartik, or Oligarch, was a Ukrainian volunteer fighter in the War in Donbas (2014–2022), War in Donbas. He also worked as a photographer for publications such as ''UNIAN'', ''Reuters'' and the Ukrainian publication ''Insider''. He was killed on 19 October 2014 as a result of a wound sustained from a mortar shell. Biography Education Viktor attended public school #27 in Ternopil, then the Technical College of the Ternopil Ivan Pul'uj National Technical University. Work He worked for the Ternopil newspaper ''20 minutes'', edited a Plast periodical ''The Blossom of Ukraine'' (''Цвіт України''). Aidar Battalion
24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar", also known as the Aidar Battalion, is an assault battalion of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The unit took part in the war in Eastern Ukraine and had roughly 300-400 members in 2014. It was named after the Aidar River in the Luhansk region where it was initially deployed. In 2014, Amnesty International reported that members of the Aidar Battalion had committed war crimes during the War in Donbas. It was disbanded in 2015 and reconstituted as the 24th Separate Assault Battalion of the Ukrainian Army, before being absorbed into the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade in 2016. Nichlava
Nichlava (medieval name - Sarnik) is a river in Ukraine, within the Chortkiv Raion of Ternopil Oblast. Left tributary of the Dniester ( Black Sea basin). Description and location Length 83 km. The catchment area is 871 km. The slope of the river is 2.1 m / km. River waters are used for technical water supply. Nichlava originates from the tract "Nichlava", located in the village Krogulets. The origin of the name of the tract is unknown. From the beginning of the source in the village it forms three ponds, and then flows past the village of Chagari. Tartak (band)
Tartak ( uk, Тартак , ) is a popular hip-hop/rapcore/alternative crossover band from Ukraine. They mix styles of guitar rock, hip-hop and dance music to produce an energetic compositions and lyrics. Sashko thought that a woodsaw symbolized something energetic, loud, active, and was hence appropriate for a band name. History Sashko Polozhynskyi and Vasily Zinkevich, Jr. founded the group in the Fall of 1996 in Lutsk, Ukraine. The name of the group, Tartak, means a woodworking company. The group has released five albums with a total of 74 songs and 9 videos. Tartak's songs "Ni Ya Ne Tu Kokhav" and "Stilnykove Kohannia" stayed on the Top 40 charts for 144 days and 75 days respectively.
