Vijayakrishnan
Vijayakrishnan was born in 1952 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He is a well-known film critic as well as a film director who also writes stories and movie reviews. Vijayakrishnan has received eight State Awards, one National Award, and two Critics Awards, among many others. Vijayakrishnan is a well known film historian in India. Vijayakrishnan was a member of the Kerala State Film Award Committee and National Award Committee on multiple occasions. He was also a member of the Indian Panorama Selection Committee for Filmotsav 1986. Vijayakrishna served as a member of the Indian Central Board for Film Certification for 8 years, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and former Director Board Member of Kerala State Film Development Corporation. He was also a member of the Board of Studies in Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University. Presently, he is the Chairman of Padmarajan Trust. Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram (; ), also known by its former name Trivandrum (), is the capital of the Indian state of Kerala. It is the most populous city in Kerala with a population of 957,730 as of 2011. The encompassing urban agglomeration population is around 1.68 million. K. Appukuttan Nair (1925–2007), better known as Kozhikodan, was a film critic and writer from Kerala, India. He began writing on films from the early 1950s. He started writing in ''Mathrubhumi'' and '' Chandrika'', and later became a regular columnist of ''Mathrubhumi Illustrated Weekly'' along with Cynic and Nadirsha (T. M. P. Nedungadi). ''Tharattu'' is a 1981 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Balachandra Menon and produced by AM Sherif and SM Sheryff.
