Vijay Kumar (Tamil Filmmaker)
Vijay Kumar is an Indian actor, writer, director, lyricist and producer. His directorial debut, ''Uriyadi'', a political thriller set in the 1990s, was released in 2016 to high critical acclaim and was lauded as one of the best political thrillers in Tamil cinema. His second project ''Uriyadi 2'' released in April 2019. Early life Vijay was born in Chennai where he spent his schooling years. He then studied Metallurgical Engineering at the Government College of Engineering, Salem. A software engineer by profession, he quit his decade-long career in reputed companies like IBM, Infosys, Aditi Technologies, etc., to pursue his passion in cinema. Pavel Navageethan (born 17 January 1984) is an Indian actor and filmmaker who works in Tamil cinema. Acting career Pavel Navageethan's dream was to be a director, so he wrote scripts for films, but was unable to get producers. He then moved to acting debuting under his friend, Pa. Ranjith's '' Madras'', where he played a henchman named Viji. His role in the film earned him the name ''Madras'' Viji. ''Soorarai Pottru'' () is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film that was written and directed by Sudha Kongara, and produced by Suriya, Jyothika and Guneet Monga. Kongara and Shalini Usha Nair wrote the screenplay; Aalif Surti and Ganeshaa provided additional screenplay; and Vijay Kumar and P. Virumandi, wrote the dialogue. The film stars Suriya, Aparna Balamurali and Paresh Rawal; and Mohan Babu, Urvashi and Karunas appear in supporting roles. The film was inspired by events from the life of G. R.
