Star Vijay is an Indian Tamil language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Disney Star (formerly Star India), a subsidiary of Asianet Star Communications. The channel's headquarters is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Star Vijay changed hands several times before being partly acquired by the Star India in 2001. ''Subramaniapuram'' is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language period action film produced, written, and directed by Sasikumar. The low-budget film received critical acclaim for its original script, expert direction, screenplay, editing, fresh music, accurate sets and costumes to resurrect Madurai from the 1980s. ''Abhiyum Naanum'' () is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film produced by Prakash Raj and directed by Radha Mohan. Elango Kumaravel (born 27 August 1965) is an Indian theatre actor and writer. He is also a co-founder of the Chennai based theatre group "Magic Lantern". He is an alumnus of Pondicherry University's Sankaradas Swamigal School of Performing Arts and the Chennai-based theatre workshop ''koothuppattarai''. Saravanan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language, Tamil-language films. He made his acting debut through ''Vaidhehi Vanthachu'' (1991), where he portrayed the lead role.
