Vigia (mountain)
Vigia is a low mountain in the northwestern part of the island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. Its elevation is 146 m. It is situated 4 km north of the island capital Sal Rei, and 2 km south of the headland Ponta do Sol. Vigía Del Fuerte
Vigía del Fuerte is a town and municipality in the Colombian department of Antioquia. The town is on the eastern bank of the Atrato River, which locally forms the border between the Antioquia and Chocó Departments of Colombia. Vigía del Fuerte neighbours Bellavista, and played a significant role, suffering losses during, and receiving those fleeing the Bojayá massacre in 2002. Town Most of the buildings and roads in the town are elevated on poles because of the wet soil and frequent flooding. The town is connected only by river to neighbouring towns, and to Quibdó, the capital of the Chocó Department. Finca Vigía (, ''Lookout Farm'') is a house in San Francisco de Paula Ward in Havana, Cuba which was once the residence of Ernest Hemingway. Like Hemingway's Key West home, it is now a museum. The building was constructed in 1886. History of the property The house was built in 1886 by Catalan architect Miguel Pascual y Baguer on a hill about east of Havana. From the back veranda and the adjacent tower one has an excellent view of downtown Havana. The Hemingway family Hemingway lived in the house from mid-1939 to 1960, first renting it, and then buying it in December 1940 after he married Martha Gellhorn, his third wife. Gellhorn, who had come to Cuba to be with Hemingway, decided that she did not want to live in the small room he rented at the Hotel Ambos Mundos. Cruceta Del Vigía
Cruceta del Vigía (English: The Watchman Cross) is a tall cross located atop Cerro del Vigía in Ponce, Puerto Rico, across from Museo Castillo Serrallés. It houses a tourist center at its base, a ten-story vertical tower, and a horizontal sky bridge that has panoramic views of the city of Ponce and the Caribbean Sea. Visitors can reach the skybridge via glass elevators or a staircase. Made of reinforced concrete, the cross has withstood various natural disasters, including three major hurricanes. Cerro del Vigía is a hill in the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico, located just north of the city of Ponce.
