View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School (known informally as View Park Prep) is a college preparatory school, college preparatory high school in South Los Angeles, South region of Los Angeles, California, United States. The school first opened in 2003 and currently enrolls about 700 students. The school is a part of the Inner City Education Foundation. History View Park Preparatory High School opened in 2003. Academic Performance Index (California Public Schools)
The Academic Performance Index (API) was a measurement of academic performance and progress of individual schools in California, United States. The API was one of the main components of the Public Schools Accountability Act passed by the California State Legislature in 1999. It was last updated for the 2012–2013 school year, an on March 15, 2017, the California State Board of Education and the California Department of Education launched a new accountability system to replace the Academic Performance Index to better measure California's education goals. Crenshaw, or the Crenshaw District, is a neighborhood in South Los Angeles, California. In the post–World War II era, a Japanese American community was established in Crenshaw. African Americans started migrating to the district in the mid 1960s, and by the early 1970s were the majority. Hyde Park station is an at-grade light rail station on the K Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located in the median of Crenshaw Boulevard between its intersections with Slauson Avenue and 59th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The station opened on October 7, 2022.
