The Vietnamese National U-21 Football Championship, known also as the Thanh Niên National U-21 Football Championship ( vi, Giải bóng đá U-21 Quốc gia Cúp Báo Thanh Niên) for sponsorship reasons, is the national championship of association football for male players under the age of 21 organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). The competition was founded in 1997 and is held annually since its creation. It is considered as an important tournament for young players before they move to professional level. Hanoi Football Club () is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Hanoi, Vietnam that competes in the V.League 1. The club currently plays in the V.League 1. Hanoi FC was founded in 2006 as T&T Hanoi Football Club, shortened as Hanoi T&T before renamed to Hanoi T&T Football Club in 2010 and finally to its current name in 2016.
