CBV Index
The CBV-Index, or Corporates and Businesses of Vietnam Index, is a market index containing the stocks of 50 leading corporations of Vietnam. Subsets of this index include the CBV 10 (10 leading companies with highest total market capital and liquidity) and CBV 20 (top 20 such companies). The CBV-Index, or CBV LargeCap, together with CBV MidCap and CBV SmallCap form the broader CBV Total. All stocks in these indices are traded on the two Vietnam stock markets, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centers. It was created by BienViet Securities J.S.C., and first published on January 1, 2007. VND Index
VND Index also known as the Trade Weighted Vietnam Dong Index, is a measure of the value of the Vietnamese đồng (VND) relative to majority of Vietnam's most significant trading partners. Methodology In 2009, following regions whose currency has been selected into calculation of VND Index are: United States, China, Japan, Europe, Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea. Those seven regions are chosen, whose currencies selected into the index, based on the value of their export and import to Vietnam: * The index is computed as the geometric mean of the bilateral exchange rates of the included currencies. * The weight assigned to the value of each currency in the calculation is based on trade data, and is updated annually (the value of the index itself is updated much more frequently than the weightings). Vietnam Consumer Confidence Index (Vietnam CCI) is an indicator designed to measure consumer confidence of Vietnam, which is defined as the degree of optimism on their activities of savings and spending. Methodology Each month Woori CBV Securities Corporation surveys nearly 1,000 Vietnamese households. Vietnam Investor Confidence Index
The Vietnam Investor Confidence Index measures the attitude of both Vietnamese local and foreign investors (investing into Vietnam stock market) to risk. History The index is calculated monthly since January 2007 and developed by Woori CBV Securities Corporation. Methodology * The index uses the principles of modern financial theory to model the underlying behavior of both domestic and foreign investors investing into Vietnam stock market.
