Vieshow Cinemas () is a Taiwanese cinema chain and the largest cinema chain in Taiwan. There are currently 19 locations in total: 4 in New Taipei City, 3 each in Taipei City, Taichung City, and Tainan City, 2 in Hsinchu City, and 1 each in Taoyuan City, Miaoli County, Kaohsiung City, and Hualien County, with a total of 201 screens. History The company was originally called Warner Village Roadshow Cinemas, which operated in Taiwan from 1998 to 2004. It was a joint venture between Warner Bros. from the United States and Village Roadshow from Australia. Later, due to the joint divestment of Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow, four Taiwanese and Hong Kong companies, including Hong Kong Orange Sky Golden Harvest and CMC Magnetics, took over the operation and changed the company to the current name. Xinyi District or Sinyi District is the seat of the Taipei City Government and Taipei City Council. Xitun District
Xitun District or Situn District (, literally "western village") is the second-most populated district of Taichung, Taiwan. It is located on the western side of the city. Once considered part of the countryside, the district has seen rapid growth in recent years with department store and office towers in the redevelopment zone. Taichung City Hall is located in the district. History The original inhabitants of the area were the Pazeh people, who inhabited the Taichung Basin. The first Han settlers arrived in 1701, led by Liao Chao Kong () and Chang Da Jing (). As a result, the Pazeh people were pushed out of the area, and most of them migrated to Puli, Nantou. Top City () is a shopping mall located in the 7th Redevelopment Zone of Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan that opened on 22 December 2011. The mall is owned and operated by the Far Eastern Group. With a total floor area of and 14 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground, it is the largest shopping center in Taichung when it opened. Main core stores of the mall include Tissot, Hermes, Bvlgari, Gap, Nike and various other high end brands and themed restaurants. In March 2021, the second authorized Lego store in Taiwan opened in the mall. Miaoli County
Miaoli County (Mandarin Pinyin: ''miáo lì xiàn''; Hakka PFS: ''Mèu-li̍t-yen''; Hokkien POJ: ''Biâu-le̍k-koān'' or ''Miâu-le̍k-koān'') is a county in western Taiwan. Toufen (Hakka PFS: ''Thèu-fun''; Hokkien POJ: ''Thâu-hūn'') is a county-administered city in northern Miaoli County, Taiwan. Its city centre forms a continuous urban area with Zhunan.
