Vidhi
''Vidhi'' () is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film directed by K. Vijayan. A remake of the Telugu film ''Nyayam Kavali'' (1981), it stars Sujatha, Mohan, Poornima, and Jaishankar. The film revolves around a court case that Radha (Poornima) files against Raja (Mohan), concerning the legitimacy of her child conceived out of wedlock. How justice prevails forms the rest of the story. ''Vidhi'' was released on 26 January 1984, during India's Republic Day. The film received positive reviews from critics, particularly for the dialogues in its courtroom scenes and was a commercial success, running for over 500 days in theatres. ''Nyayam Kaavali'' () is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. The film is based D. Rameswari's novel ''Kotta Malupu''. It stars Chiranjeevi, Raadhika, Jaggayya, and Sarada. It was remade in Hindi as ''Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye'' in 1983, in Kannada as ''Keralida Hennu'' in 1984, in Tamil as ''Vidhi'' in 1984 and in Malayalam as '' Thaalam Thettiya Tharattu'' (1983). Mohan (actor)
Mohan (born 23 August 1956) is an Indian actor, known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema, and a few Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films. He is also known as "Kokila Mohan" after his debut film '' Kokila'' (1977), and "Mic Mohan" from numerous roles playing singers using microphones. In 1982, he received the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actor for his work in ''Payanangal Mudivathillai''. Career Mohan was introduced to the world of theatre by B. V. Kalyani Menon
Kalyani Menon (23 June 1941 – 2 August 2021) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the Indian film industry. After beginning her career in the 1970s as a classical singer, Kalyani established a parallel career as a singer in the film industry and worked extensively with A. R. Rahman during the late 1990s and early 2000s. She was awarded Kalaimamani Award in 2010 and was also a recipient of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award. Sujatha (actress)
Sujatha (10 December 1952 – 6 April 2011) was an Indian actress who performed and staggered in a number of unique and variety of characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, ''Aval Oru Thodar Kathai'' (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. Jaishankar (12 July 1938 – 3 June 2000) was an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil cinema. He was a very popular lead actor in the 1960s and 70s. He was credited onscreen with title of ''Makkal Kalaingnar'' (people's artiste) or ''Makkal Thamizhan'' (people's Tamil) in most films starring him. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture.
