Vidaaya
''Vidaaya'' ( kn, ವಿದಾಯ; ''Farewell'') is a 2015 Indian Kannada film written and directed by P. Sheshadri, starring Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Suchendra Prasad, H. G. Dattatreya and Pratham in lead roles. Plot Vasuki is a father of two children, who is in a permanent vegetative state, after seriously hurt in an accident. Meera his wife, who has been opposing from the beginning the request of "euthanasia" from her husband, having lost any hope to live, at last submits to her husband's persuasion and agrees to apply in the court for passive euthanasia. But, in the media, this matter takes totally a different color and she will be depicted as "a woman set to kill her own husband". Vasu will be denied of his request, by the court as per the existing law. Though Vasu is disappointed by this verdict, Meera feels happier. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is an Indian actress from Karnataka and a classical dancer, qualified in Bharatanatyam. Suchendra Prasad
K. Suchendra Prasad (born 1973) is an Indian theatre, film and television actor. Before beginning his career in Kannada cinema, he worked as theater actor with playwrights such as B. V. Karanth and D. R. Ankur. During this time, he also directed, choreographed, composed music for films, television and radio, and wrote plays. Known for his work in parallel cinema, he first received recognition for his performance in the 1999 film ''Kanooru Heggadithi''. Kannada (; ಕನ್ನಡ, ), originally romanised Canarese, is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the people of Karnataka in southwestern India, with minorities in all neighbouring states. Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka.
