Vida (Ana Tijoux Album)
''Vida'' is the fifth solo studio album by Latin hip hop artist Ana Tijoux. The album, released in 2024, is her first album since '' Vengo'' in 2014. The album was recorded in 2023 in Barcelona. It was produced by Andrés Celis, who collaborated with Tijoux on the albums '' La Bala'' and ''Vengo''. The first single from the album, "Niñx", was released on 18 May 2023. The video for the single was directed by Camila Grandi. The second single, "Tania", was released on 5 October 2023 and is an ode to Tijoux's sister who died from cancer in 2019. ''Vida'' incorporates elements of hip-hop, Latin rhythms, and jazz. String arrangements for the album were done by Alberto Pérez. The influence of Afrobeats and reggaeton can be heard on the tracks "Cora", "Dime qué", and "Bailando solo aquí". Anamaría Tijoux Merino (; born 12 June 1977), commonly known by her stage name Ana Tijoux or Anita Tijoux, is a Chilean-French singer and musician. She became famous in Latin America as the MC of Hip hop music, hip-hop group Makiza during the late 1990s. In 2006, she crossed over to the mainstream of Latin pop after her collaboration with Mexican songstress Julieta Venegas in the radio hit "Eres para mí". Tijoux has often been praised for "exploring sensitive matters devoid of violence." The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo ( es, italic=no, Asociación Civil Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo) is a human rights organization with the goal of finding the children stolen and illegally adopted during the 1976–1983 Argentine military dictatorship. Estela De Carlotto
Enriqueta Estela Barnes de Carlotto (born 22 October 1930) is an Argentine human rights activist and president of the association of Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo. One of her daughters, Laura Estela Carlotto, was kidnapped and missing while pregnant in Buenos Aires, in late 1977. Through stories, she could ascertain that her daughter had given birth to a boy, and that her grandson was appropriated and his identity changed. She searched for him for nearly 36 years, until, on 5 August 2014, after a DNA check voluntarily made by the person concerned, her grandson was identified, and became the 114th in the list of recovered grandchildren. Calle 13 is a Puerto Rican alternative hip-hop band formed by stepbrothers Residente (lead vocalist, songwriter) and Visitante (multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, beat producer), along with their half-sister iLe, also known as PG-13 (backing vocals). Pérez and Cabra first were discovered by Elias De Leon. They were subsequently given a record deal with White Lion Records after leaving a demo with A&R Director Carlos "Karly" Rosario.
