''Victory'' is the second studio album by Irish pop duo Jedward. The album was released on 5 August 2011 in Ireland and on 15 August 2011 in the United Kingdom. It was the 18th best selling album in Ireland in the year 2011. It was also certified double platinum in Ireland that year, thus becoming the duo's second consecutive album to receive that certification in their home country. Background Jedward began recording tracks for the album in January 2011. In February 2011, it was announced that the pair would be representing Ireland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, after winning a nationwide competition against four other acts. The pair announced the song they would representing with would be "Lipstick", a song recorded for their upcoming second studio album. "Lipstick" was subsequently released as the album's lead single in February 2011. UK Albums Chart
The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
