Victoriaville Tigres
The Victoriaville Tigres are a junior ice hockey team that plays in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The team is based in Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada. The team plays its home games at the Colisée Desjardins. History The franchise was granted for the 1982–83 season in Longueuil, Quebec, where they were known as the Longueuil Chevaliers. In 1987, the team moved to Victoriaville by owner, Gilles Lupien. The Tigres won the President's Cup in 2002 and 2021 and went to the 2002 Memorial Cup finals, which they lost to the Kootenay Ice. Victoriaville
Victoriaville is a town in central Quebec, Canada, on the Nicolet River. Victoriaville is the seat of Arthabaska Regional County Municipality and a part of the Centre-du-Québec (Bois-Francs) region. It is formed by the 1993 merger of Arthabaska, Saint-Victoire-d'Arthabaska and Victoriaville, the name of the last being used for the merged town. Description Victoriaville's size and location have earned it the title ''Capitale des Bois-Francs'', referring to the Bois-Francs region of the province. Maxime Comtois (born January 8, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Comtois was drafted by the Victoriaville Tigres third overall in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft. On June 24, 2017, Comtois was selected in the second round, 50th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Ducks on March 3, 2018. Comtois made the Ducks' 2018 opening night roster out of training camp. François Leroux (born April 18, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. At 6'6" and over 240 pounds, Leroux was a physical, defensive-minded defenceman who amassed 577 penalty minutes in his NHL career. Patrick Lebeau
Patrick Mikael Lebeau (born March 17, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He represented Canada at the 1992 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal. He has played professionally in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He is the younger brother of Stéphan Lebeau. Marc LaBelle
Marc LaBelle (born December 20, 1969) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Career LaBelle went undrafted and signed with the Montreal Canadiens in 1991 as a free agent, but played in the minors. He then signed with the Ottawa Senators the next year, again as a free agent, but only played in the minor leagues. LaBelle was then claimed by the Florida Panthers in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft, spending three seasons in the International Hockey League with the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Milwaukee Admirals, but never played for the Panthers. Daniel Gauthier
Daniel Gauthier (born May 17, 1970) is a Canadian former ice hockey centre. Gauthier was drafted 62nd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro in 1990 in the International Hockey League with the Albany Choppers for one game before joining the ECHL's Knoxville Cherokees, scoring 41 goals and 93 assists for 134 points. Stéphane Fiset (born June 17, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League and now coaches Thetford Mines in the QCHL. Playing career Fiset was drafted in the 2nd round, 24th overall, in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the Quebec Nordiques. He played 34 minutes in 6 games in his rookie season with Quebec, playing behind Ron Tugnutt, as well as a host of other goalies who got time that season. Fiset got his first NHL victory on October 29, 1991 against the Winnipeg Jets in Le Colisee de Quebec, by a score of 7–2.
