Victor Pineda (soccer)
Victor Pineda (born March 15, 1993) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. Career Professional The first homegrown player in Chicago Fire history, Pineda signed with the first team in August 2010. That year the midfielder lead the Chicago Fire U-16 Academy with eight goals and helped his team win the U.S. Soccer Federation Development Academy National Championship (in which he scored the first penalty kick of the penalty kick shootout). He was subsequently called up to the United States U-18 national team and scored twice during the international tournaments. On February 17, 2012, Pineda was selected to the national U-20 team as one of the two team leaders. Pineda made his MLS debut on March 23, 2014, in a match against New York Red Bulls. The village of Bolingbrook is a southwest suburb of Chicago in Will and DuPage counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. Per the 2020 census, the population was 73,922. As of 2010, it is the 17th largest incorporated place in Illinois and the state's 2nd largest village. Mauricio Pineda (born October 17, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire. Club career College and youth Pineda was part of the Chicago Fire academy, before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played college soccer from 2016 to 2019, making 79 appearances, scoring 17 goals and tallying 8 assists. While at college, Pineda also appeared for USL League Two sides Tobacco Road FC and North Carolina FC U23.
