Victor Odelberg
Victor James Wilhelm Odelberg, (19 November 1875 in Gustavsberg - 10 March 1951) was a Swedish hofjægermester. He was the son of and the brother of Axel Odelberg Axel Samuel Wilhelm Odelberg, (16 April 1873 in Gustavsberg - 25 November 1950 in Djursholm) was a Swedish chemical engineer. He was the son of industry owner Wilhelm Odelberg and the brother of Victor Odelberg. Biography Odelberg graduated .... In 1900, Odelberg took his agronom graduation at Ultuna lantbruksinstitut, and was employed at Gustavsberg porslinsfabrik that was owned by his father. Hofjægermester
Hofjægermester (hunting master of the court) is an honorary court title awarded to a limited number of (major and usually noble) land owners (''godsejere'') by the Danish monarch. The title was introduced in Denmark-Norway during the period of absolute monarchy. Today, it's solely an honorary title. As of the 01.03.2019, 52 persons hold the title in Denmark whereof 42 are men and 10 are women. The title was also used during the Swedish-Norwegian Union, but its use was discontinued in Sweden and Norway. In Norway, the title was spelled ''Hofjægermester'' when the title was used (until 1905), although the modern spelling would be ''hoffjegermester''. The Swedish spelling is ''hovjägmästare''. Axel Odelberg
Axel Samuel Wilhelm Odelberg, (16 April 1873 in Gustavsberg - 25 November 1950 in Djursholm) was a Swedish chemical engineer. He was the son of industry owner Wilhelm Odelberg and the brother of Victor Odelberg. Biography Odelberg graduated chemistry technical class in 1895 from Kungliga Tekniska högskolan in Stockholm. After his studies he travelled to Zürich to get education in ceramics. In 1895 he was employed as an engineer at Gustavsbergs porslinsfabrik that was owned by his father. In 1899 he became the lead-engineer and led the factories drive. The same year, he married Maud Jane Beavis (1873-1962, in London. He ran the continuation work at the porcelain productions methods and machine-park. Amongst other things he showed the superiority of electricity over steam-power. Electricity was first used at Gustavsberg in 1925. But Odelberg wanted to renew the production range and started to use Svenska Slöjdförening's program for more beautiful everyday goods.
