Victor Hugo Caula
Víctor Hugo Caula (October 17, 1927 – March 24, 2014) was an Argentinian cameraman and director of photography, with extensive participation in the production of works. Biography In 1944, he began working at the production company Pampa Film, as a film photographer. Since then, he has worked as a photographer, cameraman and cinematographer in several companies, under the orders of different directors such as Fernando Ayala (PK), Héctor Olivera (PK) and Enrique Salaberry, among others. He was a cinematographer in more than 20 films, and cinematographer in almost 65 films. He received the Prizes of the Association of Cinematographers of Argentina, in recognition of his contribution to Argentine cinema, the Konex Award in 1982, the Kodak Award for Best Image Treatment and the Irupé de Plata as Best Cinematographer, among other distinctions . The cinematographer or director of photography (sometimes shortened to DP or DOP) is the person responsible for the photographing or recording of a film, television production, music video or other live action piece. The cinematographer is the chief of the camera and light crews working on such projects and would normally be responsible for making artistic and technical decisions related to the image and for selecting the camera, film stock, lenses, filters, etc. The study and practice of this field is referred to as cinematography. ''Rebellion in Patagonia'' ( es, La Patagonia rebelde) is a 1974 Argentine drama-historical film directed by Héctor Olivera and starring Héctor Alterio, Luis Brandoni, José Soriano and Federico Luppi. It was written by Olivera with Osvaldo Bayer and Fernando Ayala, based on Osvaldo Bayer's renowned novel '' Los vengadores de la Patagonia Trágica'' ("The Avengers of Tragic Patagonia"), which was based upon the military suppression of anarchist union movements in Santa Cruz Province in the early 1920s. Fernando Ayala (2 July 1920 – 11 September 1997) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer of the classic era. He is widely considered one of the most important Argentine film directors and producers in the history of the cinema of Argentina. Ayala initially began as a trainee assistant director in 1942, in '' El Viaje'', and within two years he had become an assistant director. By 1949 he had obtained his first job as director, and from 1958 he also served as producer for the films he directed and some others. Mingo y Aníbal, dos pelotazos en contra is a 1984 Argentine film. Summary Mingo and Aníbal are two friends who reside in the same neighborhood and frequently visit the Science and Sweat Club. On a particular day, they discover that the renowned tennis champion, María Miranda, has recently arrived in Buenos Aires. Overwhelmed by his infatuation for her, Aníbal implores Mingo to join him in a visit to the Sheraton hotel, where María is staying.
