Vicky Wong Wai-Kit
Vicky Wong Wai-kit ( zh, t=黃偉傑) is a Hong Kong film director. He co-directed the 2016 film ''Trivisa'' produced by Hong Kong film director Johnnie To and screenwriter Yau Nai Hoi. Trivisa has won numerous awards including Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards, Best film at the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award. Vicky was also nominated for Best New Director at the 53rd Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards. Trivisa was premiered at 66th Berlin International Film Festival and opened 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival. In 2017, he shared the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Director with Frank Hui and Jevons Au for their film ''Trivisa''. He participated at Berlin Talent Camp in 2011. ''Trivisa'' is a 2016 Hong Kong action crime thriller film produced by Johnnie To and Yau Nai-hoi, featuring the directorial debuts of newcomers Frank Hui, Jevons Au and Vicky Wong. The Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA; ), founded in 1982, is an annual film awards ceremony in Hong Kong. The ceremonies are typically in April. The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), is one of Asia’s oldest international film festivals. Founded in 1976, the festival features different movies, filmmakers from different countries in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Film Award for Best Director is an award presented annually at the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA). It is given to honour the best director of a Hong Kong film. The 1st Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony was held in 1982, with no formal nomination procedure established; the award was given to Allen Fong for his direction of ''Father and Son.'' After the first award ceremony, a nomination system was put in place whereby no more than five nominations are made for each category and each entry is selected through two rounds of voting. Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU or SYU) is a private liberal-arts university on Braemar Hill, North Point, Hong Kong. The London Film Academy (LFA) is a UK film school situated in Fulham, London. Founded in 2001, the LFA offers undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses, providing practical training across all key filmmaking disciplines.
